Our 5 favorite sports activities in Barcelona!

Just a few days ago the UnMec blog published some activity ideas for a sports weekend in Barcelona. At Startin’ Sport, we found this super nice selection. So, we asked Yvan from UnMec.fr to concoct a panel of his favorite Barcelona sports activities. The latter obviously accepted with joy!

Basketball and football:Barcelona to the rhythm of FCB!

How not to mention the FCB teams when talking about sport in Barcelona? Not possible.

During your stay, it is therefore essential in our opinion to go to the Camp Nou to see Messi, Suarez and Neymar there or to the Palau Sant Jordi on the heights of Montjuïc !

Jogging and fitness on the beach

Barcelona beach, located just a few minutes from the city center and quickly accessible by metro or bus, is one of the best sports spots in the city.

4.2 km long, it is above all a dream place to run along the beach , on a track perfectly laid out for joggers.

In addition, if you want to combine your jogging with fitness, you can take advantage of the street workout facilities for free who are there!

Run on Carretera de les Aigües

Always jogging. But be careful, this one will be more sporty, you have been warned!

Located on the heights of Barcelona, the Carretera de les Aigües is a 20 km long path on the Collserola mountain .

If the paths promise to be winding and made of relief (ideal for endurance), the spot is above all worth it for its view overlooking the city of Gaudi and the pure air that you will breathe there.

Visiting the city by bike

Those who know the heights of Barcelona should quickly be reassured:it is quite possible to visit the city without doing a circuit worthy of a mountain stage of the Tour de France.

Indeed, many tour operators offer you city tours by bike (from €20) to visit the city up and down, and without much effort .

You will still have to pedal to get from one park to another, then to the Sagrada Familia, the old port or the Gothic quarter, but nothing exaggerated.

Nautical activities in and around Barcelona

Barcelona is part of the Costa Brava, a stretch of coastline well known to water sports enthusiasts in Spain.

The various beaches of the city (and those around) are therefore excellent spots to practice Kite Surfing , windsurfing, paddle boarding, jet skiing, sailing or even water skiing.

As for surfing on the other hand, it will be better to head towards the Atlantic coast , the waves being very poor in Barcelona and the Mediterranean…
