London voted best student city in the world in 2018

Student cities are full of assets to optimize the experience of young people who settle there with the aim of following a university course. They indeed offer famous cultural places, large shopping streets and restaurants and bars which guarantee a hectic nightlife. If our metropolises are not badly defending themselves, the one that would be the most advantageous for students is indeed on the other side of the Channel:it is London which ranks at the top of the annual ranking established by Quacquarelli Symonds (abbreviated in "QS"), a British network specialized in higher education which is responsible, among other things, for connecting the faculties of the planet to future students. The QS Best Student Cities Ranking 2018, understand the ranking of the best student cities 2018, has recently been unveiled and it is therefore the British capital which wins the coveted title. The top 5 is completed by Tokyo, Melbourne, Montreal and Paris in 5th position, which has fallen by 3 places compared to last year. Munich (6th), Berlin, Zurich, Sydney and Seoul are in the top 10.

A capital that is not very affordable but offers work

To arrive at these results, QS conducted an international survey of 50,000 students relaying various factors that contribute to making a city pleasant:the cost of living there (Paris ranks 92nd and London 113th... Can be much better do!), the concentration of students from abroad, the desire to settle in the said city after graduation or even the chances of getting a job at the start of working life (Paris ranks 2nd and London 7th on this last point). Last year, it was Montreal (in 4th place this year) that gathered the greatest number of advantages for young people in the eyes of the respondents. The cards have obviously been completely redistributed in 2018... Can't wait for next year! The full ranking can be found on the Top Universities website. . So, do you tend to agree or tend to disagree with these results for those who would have had the chance to study abroad?
