Favorite hotel:The Mark, in New York

Where exactly is it?

In the heart of the very chic Upper East Side, at the corner of 77th street and Madison avenue, a stone's throw from Central Park and the greatest museums (Metropolitan Museum, Guggenheim, The Frick Collection…).

Why do we love?

Light, light, light! It is the first (good) impression that is imposed when you push the door of your room or your suite. Then the space, of course, and the refinement of the interior decoration, all in harmony of greige and taupe. An Art Deco hotel built in 1927, The Mark has made people forget its age since its reopening in 2009 under the leadership of decorator Jacques Grange. The little details that make the difference:the designs by Jean-Philippe Delhomme on the bath products and the bicycle taxi in the colors of the hotel available to customers.

What do we do there?

Beauty at the Frédéric Fekkai hairdressing salon, weights at the 96 m2 gym, a chic picnic in Central Park which you can reach by bike (loaned by the hotel), a drink at the Mark bar, which has become the HQ of fashionistas and beautiful people…

What do we eat there?

If the gleaming kitchens installed in the suites would almost make you want to cook yourself, we rather test the menu of the Mark Restaurant by Jean Georges (pizza with truffles and fontina, kale salad, burgers with Akaushi beef…), under a beautiful skylight (again!). The Frenchy starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten does wonders there.
