Do you want to relive your holiday memories over and over again? That's how we do it!

I must confess that I have never been such a photo freak until now. Frank, on the other hand, is a huge photo enthusiast and would love to flip through photo albums every day to reminisce. Holiday memories for example. So I'm not much of a photo book browser (a word you don't hear very often 😉 ), but I do like to relive memories of the holiday. And I've found my own way of doing that, so I don't necessarily have to browse through the photo books.

While looking for fun ideas to preserve the holiday memories, I came across even more fun things that I would like to share with you.

Saving and reliving vacation memories

There are, of course, many more ways to preserve and relive your vacation memories. I'll show you the best ideas I've found below.

1. Holiday memories in a jar

A very nice idea. Keep a jar of holiday memories for every fun vacation you've had. For example, you can fill such a jar with some sand from the place you've been, some souvenirs you found or bought there and a few photos that you can print out. A very unique way to keep your memories.

2. Have your memories at hand in a practical way

I have ordered a number of things myself to keep my head in the memories every time. By the way, the photos I have chosen are from our holiday in Croatia in May. We had such a wonderful time there and the colors in the photos turned out so beautiful that I didn't have to think long about whether they would be suitable.

Since I spend so much time in front of my PC, my desk is of course the perfect place to display some holiday memories. But I don't like to fill my desk with picture frames now. I therefore ordered an ergonomic mousemat (it was really time for a new one) and a holder for notepads in which some photos are incorporated. Sweet and also practical, that suits me. But you can really think of anything to print your photos on.

Our memories of the holiday come from Smartphoto.

Because I don't just want to muse at the office about how nice the holiday was, I also had coasters printed of our holiday memories for the living room. And they turned out beautiful! So they are now on the coffee table. The joke is that I'm normally inclined to clean up all the coasters every time, but I like this one so much that I just leave it alone! Another advantage:the children normally don't think about taking a coaster, now they want to be the first to choose which coaster they want to use 😉 . If you order a set of coasters, you can have multiple holiday memories printed on it.

Lotte also received a nice notebook for school with her own photos on it, together with the school supplies she bought she is now completely ready for it!

3. Make delicious photo garlands

Super fun and simple idea to hang your photos on a string with some pegs. Now you can of course get some rope and pegs from the Action, or from the Xenos, but Coolgift also has a nice variant, namely with LED lighting, which makes it look just that little bit cozier.

You can find rope with pegs at Xenos and the above cool idea at Coolgift.

4. Collect stones from your holiday country

Collect one stone per country, write on it which country and which year you visited often and voila… you have already saved your holiday memories in a unique way. Although you don't have any photos, you can always collect them separately.

5. Compile 3D holiday lists

Rather not have memories in a jar on a shelf, but a wall full of holiday memories? Then you go for 3D photo frames on the wall that you can fill with anything. Above, for example, is a nice example of a piece of world map, with sand and shells added. But you can of course do all kinds of things in such a 3D list (just like in such a jar).

Go for the 3D list that suits you. One with a wooden edge, or rather something like this metal frame. I think it's a very nice idea for our hall.

Metal photo frames in 3D can be found here, for example.

6. Holiday memories in your bedroom

In the meantime I have found out that there are really countless possibilities to print your photos if you want to. One idea even more fun than the next! Since Lotte has to pick it up every time she sees a snow globe to make it snow, I ordered it for her bedroom. With a nice picture of the four of us in it.

7. Keeping holiday memories in a box

I don't know why, but I think a box like this to store your holiday memories (which are mostly photos with us) is more fun than a photo album. Nice if you all have the same kind of boxes (in different colors for example) and then pile them up in the living room so that you can grab them right away.
