With about 6 ladies I visited the long-awaited new Fifty shades Darker, just like half-mainly female- Netherlands. Let me get straight to it. I haven't read the books, it seemed to me to be a rather out of context hype. In addition, I was not really impressed with part 1, Fifty Shades of Grey. Add to that the many negative reviews that Fifty shades Darker brought about and you get it… my expectations for part 2 were not high.
But oh la laaaaa!!! I'm really up for it! Where I found the first part rather boring and bland, with an anti-climax ending (the only one who reached a climax was Mr. Gray himself), I think Darker is really 'steaming hot'! Where I first met Mr. Gray didn't always find attractive, I thought almost the entire film:yes!!! I think that's because this time it wasn't about what he wanted, but about what Anastasia wanted.
The women in the room, like me, swooned away at such a hot guy who spoils you on every possible way. And dark secrets attract. A kind of wrong men syndrome which every woman recognizes. Drowning in the romance and hot sex.
Of course there are scenes in Fifty Shades Darker where I think:duh! Something about lipstick and unobtrusively crawling out of panties in a crowded restaurant. Will look a little less charming on me, maybe even a bit like Bridget Jones.

I also don't think I would go completely and confidently in an hour for a self-proclaimed sadist who has a list of subjects resembling his mother in his drawer.
But let's be honest (without giving too much away for those who have yet to see it). Nothing wrong with a subtle ass cookie as foreplay with a mega sexy multimillionaire or an elevator ride with a completely different dimension. The sizzling kinky sex, a man who protects you, wants you, in every way. What woman wouldn't want that?! A little fantasizing is allowed, and a film like this helps quite a bit! In addition, there is now more of a storyline with not only much more and better erotic tension, but also other exciting moments. Highly recommended ladies!!
And now? Back to real life and waiting a year for part 3:50 shades Freed. Can't wait!!
