The campsite is equipped with modern sanitary facilities and has a nice supermarket at the reception.

In addition to the modern sanitary facilities, this campsite is also modern in terms of internet. Wifi is available throughout the campsite and is also free. You already read it, you don't have to get bored here.

3. Camping Roosdunen

You also have several types of accommodations at Camping Roosdunen. The Canvas Lodges that they rent out on this campsite are of course immediately noticeable because of their beautiful appearance. Sleeping in a tent, but then having two floors available, that's different than usual. You sleep in these beautiful odges on a waterbed, so very comfortable. But you have to do without sanitation and kitchen. A fridge, some mugs, plates and a coffee maker. That's it! Once sort of back to basic in nature at this Ameland campsite.

Apart from the above lodges, they also have luxury chalets and you can go there with your own camping equipment (such as your Fresh and Black tent). The campsite is also centrally located between Nes and Hollum. There are also many activities to do at this campsite. Trampolines for the kids, crazy golf, an outdoor pool and even a recreation team are on site.

4. Eco campsite Between Wad and Beach

A small quiet farm campsite on Ameland. No specific entertainment for the children, as parents you have to take care of that yourself. But if you have very small children, you can really enjoy this eco campsite. They have a number of accommodations available, such as the beach house and wad house, but also a drowning house 😉 . In the latter it is just a bit more luxurious than camping in your tent.

You can take your dog with you on this campsite and you can reach the Wadden in 5 minutes. Delicious, isn't it?

5. The Kiekduun; family campsite that is perfect for families

Lodges, hikers' cabins, a dune chalet or Solar chalet. A small selection of the different types of accommodations at this Ameland campsite. But these are not the only ones! So look at the Kiekduun website if you also want to view the other accommodations for a holiday on the Wadden Islands. The only drawback is that some of these accommodations have to be booked for a minimum of 2 weeks during the high season.

A lot has been arranged for children at this campsite. A playing field with all kinds of play equipment, a volleyball court and a table tennis table for example. But the kids can also do plenty of climbing and clambering. There is no indoor swimming pool on the camping site, but it can be found within walking distance.
